It’s been too long…
I thought that I’d do a quick recap on the past eight or so months for the Solace team since it seems the last post made on here was in July of last year :/
The three programmers on the team are still taking classes at DigiPen, working hard on our junior game projects as well as just surviving the myriad of classes standing between us and graduation.
In September we had the opportunity to show our game at PAX Prime in Seattle, WA. It was a quite intense three days on the expo floor but a blast nonetheless. In October we were able to show the game at IndieCade in Culver City, CA and hang out with some of the coolest indie developers on the planet. It was way too much fun and we all hope to perhaps do it again in the future.
This year we found out that we got into both the Independent Game Festival as a Student Showcase Winner, and the Indie Game Challenge as one of six non-professional finalists. We’ll be going to D.I.C.E. in a couple weeks and we’re really excited to see the turn out. We will also be showcasing our game at the end of February at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA so if you plan on going definitely drop by and say hello. Also make sure to check out all of the finalists for both IGF and IGC, the games are looking insanely good this year.
Other than that we’ll just be continuing the eighty hour/week marathon known as school. Thanks to everyone over the past several months for their emails, support, and kind words. None of this would be possible without you guys!
